A lot of elk accidents latley. I responded to an Elk vs Car the other day in Hygiene. So thats two in the same area.

About a week ago, about 3 AM State Patrol had gotten a call of an truck accident on I25 just south of the Larkspur rest area. It turns out the driver collided with an Elk. They found the animal about 50 yards away from the accident scene.
