I've asked the owner of the house if I could erect an antenna out on the over hang of the house and install coax and I got a NO . So im stuck with my Rem830B but I'm still able to receive the Pryor and RSU sites . The Pryor site is the main 1 that I can receive everything up north . im actually surprised I can receive signal through the outside complete Brick wall .

I just noticed scanner master has the Yagi back in stock and was curious which 1 to get ? . 6db or 10 . if I have to I'll build me a indoor mount like I've been hearing about and buy the lmr coax

If you can receive the signal on the portable antenna, then you don't need a lot of gain.
-However-
If you are going to make a really long coaxial cable run with cheap coax, you may need the additional gain to overcome feedline losses.

Depends on what your application is. If you can pick up the signal, there's no need to throw more gain at the problem, unless you are going to do something that's going to create a lot of additional losses.

Get the highest db antenna that matches the frequency range of your target(s), with lowest loss coax.
