Ozaukee County Feed

jpoke5, it sounds like your scanner is not in the Trunked mode, or you are not using a trunk tracker

Does anyone know the Ozaukee County feed owner?
Audio is great, but scanner is never in the trunked mode. If you know the owner can you tell him/her this.

This feed is useless, and shouldn't even be here.
It's NEVER in the trunked mode, and a lot of times there is no audio at all.

Thanks! He is using a Pro 95, which is a trunk tracker.
This could be a very popular feed if scanner was programed right. I have recieved a lot of emails from firefighters & scanner folks asking if I know about any Ozaukee County feeds, or if I could put one up. Ozaukee County is very hard to pick up for most people, even with a 800 antenna on top a 1 story roof in Germantown near Hwy 41 & Mequon Rd, some system freqs do not come in too good.

If I can figure out how to setup my scanner for trunk tracking I would be happy to do it. I use the win 95 program but not sure how to set this up. does any one have a win 95 file they wish to share??

I will also turn on my pm"s... not sure why this is off but will fix.

Here is how you can program without software if you feel like it. I found this online.
Info on how to program Ozaukee in Bank 1
Press manual
Punch in 101, then press Manual (I think you should see you are on ch 101)
Press PGM then TRUNK
Press MODE until you see ED
Press PGM. You should see the channel number 101 in the top of the display.
Punch in 856.7125 press enter
Press PGM, punch in 856.7625, press enter
Press PGM, punch in 857.7125, press enter
Press PGM, punch in 857.7625, press enter
Press PGM, punch in 858.7125, press enter
Press PGM, punch in 858.7625, press enter
Press PGM, punch in 859.7125, press enter
Press PGM, punch in 859.7625, press enter
Press PGM, punch in 860.7125, press enter
Press PGM, punch in 860.7625, press enter
Press MANUAL exit programming
Press Scan
You should be scanning in trunked mode now, but the bad thing is you will be hearing DPW & the county taxi or transit people too, until you
program talkgroups and scan in closed mode, but that shouldn't be too bad until you figure out how to program the talkgroups.
But then again it's your feed and you can have whatever you want.

with win 95 go into the channel setting
Where it says type click on the drop down menu and select edacs
Put the trunking system frequency in the proper LCN order. Whatever the LCN channel number is in the databse it has to be the same channel in the scanner.
Then select all the channel that are for the trunking system RX mode to EDACS.
On the right side of the screen you will see a column called alpha and id. The alpha is for the name of the talkgroup and the ID is where the talk group ID goes.

Don't program 860.7625 in to your radio, OpenSky mobile data is sent on that frequency.
