That was from me.
Thank you, I indeed did not have the correct version of the .net framework but now it's showing I do. I'm not too worried at the moment unless I were to get a different laptop and it not work on that either. Thanks. I'll keep trying and see if anything changes.

Windows has had .Net Framework 2.0 installed, but not activated, since the days of Windows Me/2000, so you'll find the installation procedure more or less the same on any Windows machine, but yeah, the whole .Net Framework 2.0 issue is usually the first, and biggest, stumbling block in using these newer Uniden scanners, which require Sentinel for basic database/firmware maintenance.

Ok thanks. I'm just gonna wait till I can get a different laptop for programming. I've messed with this about all I want to frankly. As long as my the rest of my programming stuff is working I'll take the win and go from there. Appreciate all your help and hopefully a different machine will help this. FWIW, can you even run Sentinel on Windows 11? Am I liable to encounter the same stuff on a new install on a machine running that?

Also is it possible that the installation of different software requiring different.net framework has mess this up somehow? I don't remember installing anything prior to it stopping working but if I recall there was some kind of update maybe. Again, thanks.

That video I posted earlier? It was made for Windows 11, not 10, but it's the same procedure. (I have it running on my Panasonic Windows 11 tablet.) And FWIW, as I have both a HomePatrol 2 and an SDS100, I have both versions of Sentinel installed and running fine, .Net Framework 2.0 fully installed and functioning properly.
