P25 Adjust Level

i am needing help on what the P25 Adjust Level, i have read
and tried understanding this but just don't grab it, i had it set to default "50"
i have seen were some one has it set to 200 which i did the current threshold
is now at "8" .. can anyone help me better get this. some reason its over my
head here and not getting it... i have read the forum on here from RR .

but can anyone explain in much simple way of explaining this if i set
this to 200 will it receiver better...... ???

"sets the RSSI value below which the scanner will not attempt to make P25 fine tune adjustments. If the signal is too low, RX reliability is not high enough to make P25 adjustments correctly. 50 is the default setting (1-200). People have had better decoding with this value turned up. "

i would assume you can change the setting to allow the radio to unmute when high BER and pass garbled voice when normally it would not?
never owned a uniden so im not sure. experiment ! good luck

There is a way to do this, but it is tricky and can't remember exactly how. You might have better luck placing a post on the Uniden section of the forum.

BTW, when I did the adjustment, the reception seemed better.
