P25 Adjust

When trying to get to P 25 adjust by pressing the Hold button when powering up the scanner The display flashes multiple colors and then goes in to the normal scanning mode. I've done this before and it worked.
I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

That makes the hidden adjust menus appear in the main menu. You still need to go through the menu list to select the adjustments.

that you press the function key and press the top knob once or twice. while scanning?

Thanks SB-W1, that did it. I don't use this thing enough and the manuals aren't very clear.
