I'm new to this scanner (BCD996P2) and im trying to program a conventional p25 system into the scanner but im not sure what the NAC code is. Do I leave that part blank? Because I don't see an option for auto/search
Set the Audio Type to Digital Only and Code Option to Search. The NAC, if used, will be displayed during transmissions and you can enter it. What frequency is it? I don't see any P25 conventional frequencies for Lafayette County listed in the database. Everything is analog.

The frequency im trying to get is Grant County Wisconsin Sheriff. The NAC code says it's 022 but when I enter it, I don't hear anything. I just wanted to see if using search worked but im not hearing anything with that either.
It's simulcast across three towers from what I can see examining the license. You could be facing simulcast distortion while listening with your 996p2 if you're within range of two or more of these, with that high ERP it may be possible. The Uniden SDS100, 150 and 200 are better optimized to bring in simulcast conventional and trunked systems
