Well I just ran into a situation as the other poster has. I went to program a DMR frequency not realizing the limitation of the 500MHZ issue. Now I am stuck in a constant cycle of the laptop trying to recognize the usb device, over and over again. Tried a different cable and laptop same problem. I have messaged Todd but if anyone has any ideas how to correct this issue I would appreciate it until he gets back to me

Thanks

check your direct messages.

-edit: I think the issue has something to do with DMR. The issue is not from programming an invalid frequency. I have verified this. If you enter an invalid frequency, the BTConfig software will let you know that it is invalid and it will use a default frequency. I will see if I can figure out what is wrong with the DMR mode in the testing versions.

Can you let me know where you entered the 500.xxx frequency? Were you configuring the device from the first tab or the 2nd (DMR) tab? I've tried recreating the issue, but I don't get a lock-up here.

I was running 1304 with no issues, but never being satisfied, I tried the 1726. I have a 700mhz P2 system as primary, roaming enabled with two 800 mhz P2 systems. When i loaded 1726 it showed on the console checking the two 800 systems but no TG audio, it would not check the 700mhz system, it showed the 800 systems and also got no TG audio on any channel. I have a sds100 running. If I shut roaming mode off it showed just checking the 700 system not but no audio. Reenabled roaming and wrote it out, now just the two 800 and not the 700.

I power cycled, tried a reload, then reset back to 1304 and after reloading the primary and the TGID table everything worked again.

Back to 1304 and happy here for now :)

Question on roaming mode... if the timing is set to 3 seconds, which means if no TG is seen in 3 seconds it goes to next freq, but a TG is seen that is not in the list and add new talk groups is not enabled, does the roaming timer get reset? IE I want to listen to fire only, not PD, so I have set a TG list of fire, shut off add new talk groups. will a transmission on a PD talk group reset the 3 second timer?

I'm not sure why this isn't working for you. I intend to resume work on updates to the roaming/scanning mode sometime next week. Currently, I am working on a larger-than-usual production run. (it is taking longer than I expected).

If you set the roaming timing to 3 seconds, then it will switch channels after no TG activity for 3 seconds. If there is TG activity, then the TG timeout setting is used to reset the hold for the current channel (default of 2 seconds). In this case, that would be 2 seconds + 3 seconds for a total of 5 seconds after TG activity.

Ok. That’s what it looked like. Even if the TGID is not in the monitor list. Thanks.

I am extremely excited to get my hands on one. Its the perfect form factor for me. I can run the whole setup from a small pelican case and pair to my ear buds. Very cool!

Hi Just an unsucessful update on trying to use 1726. Downloaded again and updated firmware, had same issue where the primary 774Mhz frequency would not show as scanning in the console, the two 800Mhz in roaming did, so I entered the 774 in the roaming table, it comes back as in flash and shows as primary and now it shows as scanning,. But i am receiving no voice grants and no audio from any of the 3 systems, I get them on the sds100 regularly. The 774 mhz system is a p25 p2 simulcast

Even with 1304 I can see where I am missing some transmissions on the LSM simulcast 774Mhz system,. the SDS picks it up, the P25 scans right over it and never gets the audio

Ok here was something strange. I was listening to both SDS and P25rx, both had stopped at Dispatch 2 TDGI 11003 but I was getting a completely different conversation on two radios, the SDS was dispatching a company, the P25 was actually getting one of the Tac channels discussing on scene fire. but the display was this. Once the transmission ended and the P25 started scanning again it stopped on the dispatch.

The next correct transmission on Dispatch 2

Question. If it’s on a different system or receiving a different channel then resumes scanning in the middle of the other transmission will it see the voice grant? Or will it only see it if it identifies it at the start?
