I was working my way through Florida updating alpha and geo tags when I came to Pasco County Public Services. I noticed this system needs a lot of work. I noticed a lot of the services tags and descriptions did not match up. Before I continue working the county, could someone in the area please review the area and submit the correct information. I can’t believe everything is tac or talk down there. Once I get the updates they will posted right away.
Thanks
Dan

That would be great if you can help fix up the county. Looks like you’re in the right place according to your location tag. Some of the things to look out for are, do the city departments have their own dispatches (police/fire), what are the channel numbers and are the listings tagged or described correctly. Whatever you can find out would be greatly appreciated by me and others. Take your time and work what you can. I check daily so I’ll keep an eye out for your updates.
Thanks
Dan

Pasco county updates

Just read your message and wanted to comment on the county edacs system, it seems that Zephyrhills police is listed there as 08-130 I have listen to that for several days and never heard anything out of it. our neighbors car was broken into so the police were out here today and while talking them they are not on the system as far as I can tell. his HT radio is a Motorola so they are still using 855.4625 if anyone hears diffrent please let me know.

That is a tad messy, but I've seen worse. :p

One thing glaringly obvious is the County Services talkgroups with "Other" and "Utilities" both of which should be "Public Works".

port richey fire

I have never heard any traffic on the ID listed for Port Richey Fire and i have had this programmed for years i think that may be an error too.

It's entirely possible that those unused talkgroups were allocated for Zephyrhills, Port Richey Fire, and others for future use, but those departments have yet to budget the money to acquire the radios and (probably) pay for the dispatch services on those talkgroups.

Is there a way to leave them in the database and make a notation that they are not currently used? Knowing Murphy's Law, they'll probably start using them the week after they get deleted from the database. :-(

Port richey fd

After some monitoring of call's the other night i can verify that Port Richey FD is on 09-001 which is also the main Police channel as well. It appears that the channel is shared by both agencies. Twice the other night I heard E-42 which is Port Richey Toned over 09-001 and then dispatch giving them their info.

The other channels listed in the database are either wrong or inactive for Port Richey fire, also the 09-001 should be changed to reflect that it's an PD/FD channel as well

Hope that helps

Good afternoon everyone. I have sent a message to Wise and I am hoping to be of some help. Most of the ALPHA tags in the system are incorrect at this time. Also to answer the qustion about the city stuff. Zhills does have a PD and Fire trunk code in the system. Fire is currentally toned out by the trunked system, but they also use the conventional freq listed. PD uses the conventional freq. They will be on the trunked system in the future. As far as Port Richey. Ngel is correct. FD and PD use the same freq. PD stays on main disp. FD is dispatched on the main disp then switches to Pasco FD Disp 1 after responding to a call that Pasco County has also been dispatched to. (IE: PR Engine PCFR Rescue). Hopefully we can get everything in order soon. If there are any questions please send me a message, and I will help out as much as I can.

Pasco rebanding

Hey gang - I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news here, but right now the all of the pasco county radios (or at least fire rescue/sheriff's office) are set to be rebanded Monday night. I'm going to see what I can find out about it, and if i learn anything of value i'll pass it on.
