Pausing in the audio

This is one of my local EMS channels and when my BC 780XLT stops on this channel there is no pause, but when my PRO-18 stops on it, there is a pause...resume...pause..resume.. etc. It never loses the channel, but the audio does have pauses in it continuously. What causes that?

Check your priority settings, weather etc.

Check your priority settings, weather etc.

One of my weather frequencies was set to priority. I turned that off and now it doesn't seem to be pausing on EMS channels. Thank you for the tip.
