I'll agree to disagree with this statement. Now if only all other analog departments would follow their lead it would be a great day for scanners everywhere
I'm twice as far away from Pawtucket as you are, I get them loud and clear on analog. Is there an obstruction between you and their transmitter site like a large building? Before Pawtucket fire switched to RISCON I could barely hear them over the static I could actually get Fall River better that is porthetic because I'm in East Providence Barrington line and it's only what about 7 miles away from Pawtucket

WA1Lad, do you have an updated list of RISCON talkgroups? I have been trying to locate Quonset Fire (state fd) & DEM Dept of Forestry (firefighting) TG's. And if there are other secret squirrel tg's that are in the clear please past them along. Thanks
Thanks, I had that one but not the RISCON TG....Quonset Fire operates on 140.9125. Not sure of the PL.
Thanks WS1LAD, I have been looking for those for awhile...you are right about being a wealth of knowledge about RISCON, would you happen to know the numbers for MEGAMILLIONSQuonset FIre is TG 304
Quonset FD VHF pl is 151.4
DEM Forestry is TG 131. They are dispatched on TG 120, DEM Dispatch. And, they will conduct operations on one of a bunch of direct freqs in their radios occasionally.
Gil is TG:304 patched/simul to the VHF that you know of ?Quonset FIre is TG 304

What do you mean? They're planning on moving to RISCON or they have moved already? It may be worth having Cumberland, Middletown, Tiverton, East Greenwich, Smithfield and Burrillville FD's in whatever device you listen to RISCON with....
