PC/IF Cable for WS1065

Now when I try to download a list to the scanner, it doesn't see the cable, I have tried to reset the computer with the cable unplugged from it, power reset the scanner with no help. and tried to remove the cable using the devise program under system all with no help. At one time it showed it was trying to use COM port 9. How to you change the COM port. I am using WIN500. The green light on the cable is sometimes lite. It still doesn't work. If I need a new cable how do I get one.

Use Device Manager to open port, change port there. Did you put the Driver in for the cable ?

If you are using the Whistler cable, download and run the CDM20830_Setup.exe driver installer: WS1040/WS1065 Scanner Firmware Updates and Downloads | Whistler Group Make sure that your cable is plugged into the PC/IF jack, not the headphone jack. If your cable has a mono adapter on the end, remove it. The WS1065 requires a TRS Stereo Plug.

I have installed the driver and it still doesn't work. I have ordered a new cable and will have to wait until it comes to see what may be next if it doesn't work.
