By Longwood Fire Company August 13, 2010 At 02:26hrs the LFC was alerted for an auto accident reported with one person unconscious. Chief 25 arrived on location with one occupant trapped in the rear passenger seat, unconscious.
Rescue 25 arrived on location and immediately began stabilization and extrication of the patient. Medics requested a helicopter for a patient with with severe head and chest injuries. Engine 25-2 was sent to set up a landing zone at the Pennsbury Township building. SkyCare was enroute from Crozer. Patient was extricated at 0253 and moved to the MICU. Transport was started to the landing zone when SkyCare notified that they were low on fuel. MICU 25 diverted directly to Crozer-Chester Medical Center where the patient was transferred over to the Trauma Team. Delco Medic 59-7A transported the driver and front seat passenger to Chester County Hospital for evaluation.
Engine 25-2 was requested to the scene for lighting during the PA State Police accident reconstruction. All units cleared at 0704.
