So, on Monday, October 3, 2025, Brunswick County switched over to phase 2 on VIPER. My G5 pager is picking up all traffic normally, but my SDS100 and SDS200 are not. They will pick up the HP and Columbus county channels, but they have not gone phase 2 yet. I'm not seeing anything in Sentenal that requires a phase 2 setting. Am I missing something?

Are the Brunswick County talkgroups programmed in & applicable service types (reference "tag" column in the RRDB turned on?

Also these talkgroups are fully encrypted so you won't be able to track them

They are all on. I did not change any settings and everything was working fine until the cut over at 8am Monday. I am aware of the encrypted talk groups. Thanks.

You don't need any programming changes from Phase 1 FDMA to Phase 2 TDMA on VIPER.
Same Talkgroup IDs just TDMA instead of FDMA. I would make sure "TDMA Slot" is one of the options featured somewhere on your displays as it will tell you when TDMA Slots 1/2 are being used on a VIPER TG. Just an easy way to distinguish between FDMA/TDMA.

SDSxxx and BCDxxxHP scanners all handle P25 Phase 2 just fine. The only thing related to Phase 2 they don't handle yet is Phase 2 control channels, but I'm not aware of any Phase 2 control channels being used yet. Hopefully before that happens Uniden will get it together and release an update to support that.

I'm not sure what the difference was, but I took my VIPER systems out of my favorite list and reloaded them from an updated master list. Seems to be working fine now on both my 100 and 200. Thanks for the help guys.

It is possible that the control channel frequency changed when they switched to Phase 2. You may have been missing a control channel capable frequency or it was avoided. The Site NAC possibly changed also. The SDS scanners can use Site NAC if programmed to do so.
