While running the bcd15x saved search freqs, I noticed I had an OPEN freq.. ( no pl or dcs ).. I got a signal on that freq from 15 miles away. Then a 2nd voice came over--4 miles away. They said to meet at CVS in Somersworth.. I ran over there and there was their big truck in the middle of the 'in' lane to go to the drive up window. I then saw 2 other regular sized work trucks, 1 man under the big truck..Aka-- possible transmission problems.. Well, I sat there for 5 minutes under their watching eyes. So, I split. The freq I got them on was 464.500--dcs 346.. Car to car? Well, the question here is--does anyone know what repeater freq is used for them? I saw they were out of Farmington, hope they aren't part of the 2 way ltr system.. I cannot get that system's ch, arrangement right. Thx

464.500 is one of the UHF "Itinerant" frequencies.

As puzzle said, try up 5mhz as that is the standard offset for UHF. It's pretty common for this frequency to be used simplex, however.

464.500 is one of the UHF "Itinerant" frequencies. that would be the repeater freq....469.500 would be the input.....chances are they have bootlegged the freq....shocking i know...or there on a larger system and some nice radio person put the 464.500 in for them to use as Car to car, truck to truck.....etc...if you got the name of the company can always do a fcc search...or was your title the company name ?
