Here are just a few reasons why I would answer yes to that question...

1. better/larger display
2. more memory (1800 objects vs. 1000 channels)
3. overall better looks IMO with the black textured casing

The newer object-oriented memory management will take getting use to compared to the 10 bank/100 chan setup but I say go for it. $160 is a great price for this scanner.

Thanks to your videos I ordered one on Monday and received it Thrusday for $159 w/free shipping. Very nice scanner and I love the display.

Cool! I like your vids too by the way, especially the one with the 396XT & 106 side by side. Those also have very different displays and seeing them together like that doing their thing is so much more informative than trying to describe the differences.

Don't forget to update the firmware on your new toy. Enjoy!

Just curious, any particular reason why you picked the 410 over the 310? Or was it a hard choice for you?

I already have two hand held’s and I wanted another base unit. If you seen my setup, the 410 complemented my shack setup. I moved a BCT15 in the kitchen so the 410 is opposite of my Pro-197.

I see your radios now

yeah, now that I am off my phone and on my desktop, I can see your signature. I've had as many units as you but I've always sold them for the newer model. I'm gonna try to hold onto the scanners I got now, especially considering the deals I got on all of them. I paid - in total - $260 for the 106, $155 for the 310 and $80 for the 410. They are definitely keepers.
