I had to move my Pixel Loop up to my porch /balcony cause now (yes really) there are 20 Goats in my backyard (not mine)
and for the Price I paid $500 plus forget it Goats will eat anything it seems ? I just can not believe this Loop is $800 plus now I paid like $500 something I love it , it is one great loop pretty much knocks out all interference (for me) I had cheap Channel master Rotor on it but it sh-t the bed after like 7 years but I have it in a position on my porch that is just right but boy does it null out alot! plus the Electric Fence from the Goats and the Guinea Hens in there, but $800 is alot of money... glad I got it before...73,s Marcy

The Best "Wire Antenna" I ever had or used (for me) was a RF Systems T2FD I got from Universal but that is when I lived in a house now I rent so for "renters" wire antennas sometimes can be a issue but I would say that is the best antenna I ever had I do not think it is made anymore? , I just CANNOT do the whole online SDR thing I know that is the way it is now I get it! but if I cannot copy it on my antenna using my receiver not interested I do not care what somebody copies on a SDR in Qatar? but to each their own that is the way it is now but not for me...gud dx 73,s Marcy

I have to agree with both points you made here.

The RF Systems T2FD I used in the early part of this century was so good that I bought the last two available that I could find and have been hanging on to them until I bought a house to hang one while living for years in a condo. Finally got the house, figuring out where to install it.

Not a fan of listening to HF online, takes away the magic of it that I felt in my younger years. The fun for me is seeing what shows up at MY radio as I tune around.

Yes , every op,s QTH is different but here for me yes it really nulls out alot! I just have to add another cheap rotor my post was mostly about how much in price it went UP!! not sure I could afford it now at that price that is alot! but besides the price it was in the woods behind me for years but had to move it like I mentioned it has been through so many storms here on LI and still going strong ...not sure that helps?? at all..but yes it really works... there will always be critics and nit pickers...goes with posting thats the price you pay...73,s Marcy

There was a fire at RF Systems in the Netherlands about 15 years ago and the owner Willem Bos passed away in 2013. The reason I have two is just in case a storm takes out the first one. If I come across another I'll get in touch about getting one to you. Keep looking for yours, it may turn up.

I tried a wire here (several ) the landlord let me run a couple in the woods but to tell you the truth now with the elecrtic fence for the Goats for me the Loop now is the only way to go , the only wire antenna for me would be a T2FD probably like my ole RF Systems one that was so quiet ...miss it so much...good luck on whatever you decide to do WB5UOM being retired on fixed income now $800 plus is alot for a antenna for me...best 73,s Marcy

Def. keep me in mind if you see one available I looked all over the internet for one , I know there are others Barker Williamson I think makes one expensive and too long for me RF Systems was 45 ft which I could do I even bought
one in 2021 T2FD from some ham but was not the same for me in my opinion...you could always sell me your extra
one you have! (just kidding) hold on to it! one fine antenna for sure...Marcy

But then again I spent like $3000 plus on a Icom 7610, $2000 plus on a Icom 8600 so whats $800 dollars for a antenna I guess if you look at it that way? and my Wavecom 4050 (in 1999) $5000 dollars so whats $ 800 for a antenna then...yeah that justify,s it!

There are many other loops out there, but maybe the most respected one is the W6LVP series. It's made right here in the US, has several different models, much as the old Wellbrook did. They are a heckuva lot cheaper than the Pixel - man is that made out of gold plated latinum?Sheesh

DX Engineering wants more than double that I paid about 10-12 years ago. I bought mine from Pixel direct.
