I want to listen to Old Saybrook PD. I have the frequency can anyone write the steps on how to put in their PL.

I own the BC 796D

1. Press MENU
2. Select "2 SCAN OPTION"
3. Select "1 CONVENTIONAL"
4. Enter appropriate channel number
5. When channel is selected, hit "E"
6. Select "3 TONE DATA"
7. Depending on what the tone is, select either 1 or 2.
8. Using the VFO knob, scroll to the appropriate CTCSS or DCS.
9. Once it's highlighted, hit "E".

don't you have to choose a bank to enter frequency in? Sorry !!! Little slo getting this/

Have you put the voice frequencies in that you want to listen to? If not, you can put the PL in immediately after you put the frequency in.

If you have put the frequencies in already, you should be able to scroll to them using the VFO knob, or push MANUAL, Channel #, MANUAL to get there.
