I moved to Plainville back in the fall, and punched in the Plainville police frequency. After several days of no activity, I checked the forums here and found that the last post regarding PPD was in 2008. I assumed that they had switched frequencies or possibly to a trunked system and gave up.
However, I had been using a short 800mhz rubber duck antenna, and recently decided to get a longer whip. I was pleased to find that not only was the low band frequency still in use, it was quite active. I have been listening for several days now, but I'm having trouble finding anything on the net detailing the codes they use.
It doesn't seem they use any "standard" 10-codes. All I've been able to discern so far is that a 22 is return to headquarters, and a 26 is either a civilian or a visitor.
Also, I often hear officers referring to themselves as "District 2" or "District 3"
Can anyone who also listens shed any light on the subject?
Thanks
