Our own app is no longer distributed or supported for two reasons
- We don't want to be in the app development space. It's crowded, competitive, and requires an entire team to support the ecosystem of new phones, technology, etc.
- We have a great partner ecosystem of app developers who can compete and rapidly innovate.
- It's fun for me to sit back and watch quite a few people literally be minted as millionaires for their efforts as developers
That's it.
Plus, app users have extraordinary demands on what they expect from apps, support, features, etc. I'd rather be in the business of providing the infrastructure, audio, and data for apps to consume and innovate on ways to display to the end users.
