Hello. I am new to this and could use some help. I bought the Baofeng GT-3wp, nice radio but the little software disk i got with it does not work and my data cable is not recognized by my laptop, WHY is this?? Is there a any other way to set my radio up for a scanner and two way?? Thanks. If anyone is willing to help out, you can send me anything to my email. callaway11@yahoo.com

Yours is a very common issue. Here is a website that offers a lot of information on Baofeng radios, cables, and programming. Suggest that you pay special attention to the section on drivers for the cable.
