I suspect you mean fri or fry.
Although I can't remember the exact wording it refers to flu like symptoms of the causality.

FRI = Fibrile Respiratory Illness

Every call seems to be positive for FRI with either cough or chills. Pretty common for most emergency health situations though.

I'm sure SU is support unit, just not sure what the "F" means.

It's being used in the context of "can I clear this to FSU?".
Which I hear quite regularily.in zone 3.
For example, after a RIDE event and they are calling in stats on the vehicles checked.

First thing I think is that it may be Fraud. I'm not sure it fits into the context you mentioned though.

From what was explained to me is as follows...LP number would be a dispatched Occ number sent from the London comm center, OP numbers are Orillia? and SP numbers are from Smith Falls, if the officer generates his own number it will be a RM number...

It's like an occurrence number for tracking their incidents. BTW it will change depending on where you are listening. London comm centre is 'LP', Orillia comm centre is 'OP'.

Okay I knew it wasnt License Plate as the numbers are sometimes only 4 digits and they refer to plates as "markers" anyways. I knew it was something to do with incident reports though. Thanks guys

FSU is also the name of a song, originally done by the Dub Narcotic Sound Syndicate and covered by the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion on their best album "Now I got worry."

It's about anarchy, rebellion, skipping out on rent, drinking and telling off your boss but mostly it's a love song

I heard it again yesterday. There was an alarm officers were responding to when they got a call from the alarm company telling them to cancel.
Dispatch asked the responding officer if it was ok to clear it to FSU.

I haven't heard them use the term DRU in a while now.
I guess the home or business would get a letter from this support unit warning them about possible costs they may incur for future false alarms etc...

Still would like to know what the F stands for just out of curiosity.

Frontline Support Unit:

The Commissioner’s Committee in February 2013
supported an option in the report to phase out the
current DRU program and to transition to a new
Frontline Support Unit (FSU) model. A project plan
was completed in May 2014 identifying staffing
requirements, workflow analysis, management
oversight, program efficiencies and provincial
training. Standard operating procedures and policies,
and program performance measures were
developed, and initial training was provided. The
FSU was launched on July 7, 2014.
While the program is similar to the DRU, the
FSU is structured so unit members report operationally
to General Headquarters and administratively
to their respective detachments. A program
manager and provincial support sergeant provide
central oversight from General Headquarters. The
OPP told us the FSU means resources will be available
everywhere in the province for traditional DRU
calls. The FSU will also involve a larger number of
accommodated officers who are unable to either
temporarily or permanently work on front-line
policing duties.
Also in July 2014, as part of FSU, the OPP
introduced a new Citizen Self-Reporting system on
its website, allowing citizens to file police reports
online for selected crimes, including lost, damaged
or stolen property under $5,000. An officer

assigned to FSU does the initial investigation of
these, leaving regular front-line officers free to
respond to higher-priority calls. The program is
intended to offer an efficient way to reduce the
number of calls an officer need attend, as well as
reduce the volume of calls received through the
provincial communications centres.
