Police MDTs

I noticed in the database for Jersey City there is a frequency listed for Police MDTs (868.875). What exactly does this mean? Is there radio traffic on this frequency?

There is nothing to hear on this frequency exept data bursts for the MDTs. No voice will come through on this frequency, so don't even bother putting it in the scanner.

MDT is short for Mobile Digital Terminal - the computers (now-a-days lap tops) in police vehicles.
