Franklin County Fire, EMS, and Sheriff Dispatch Live Scanner Audio Feed

Im using the ext speaker jack on my PRO197 to broadcast this feed, which is a mix of analog conventional channels and digital P25.

When the jack is not plugged up the audio is clear, however when i plug the jack into my line in, the audio is kind of scratchy over the broadcast(much worse than normal)

Also, how can I broadcast and listen to my scanner at the same time? would a 3.5mm 'Y' connector work to an external speaker?

Your audio is over driven causing the distortation.
Your levels at the radio & or computer are to high.
YOu can lower the levels.
If you are on the mic input of the computer, change it to line in or at least turn mic boost off.
If you are not using the headphone output of the scanner try that vs speaker out.
