Port Aransas PD

It appears that Port Aransas PD is going to a TRS system, probably with the San Patricio EDACS system and will most likely be digital - ProVoice. I imagine this is part of the regional net that has been planned with Nueces, Kleberg and San Pat counties which is rumored to go all ProVoice.

I can't receive San Pat TRS from my location and about the only traffic I have heard in that county is some DPS-THP cross talk and possibly a little unid VFD chatter. Can anyone else receive San Pat in Corpus or are they primarily digital ? Probably the only future use I'll have for my trunk trackers is listening to AEP or the refineries .

As I now understand it, the new TRS system will be a single 10 channel site that will interlinked or patched with the San Patricio Co/Aransas Pass/Ingleside system and the Nueces Co/ Corpus Christi system. It is supposed to be primarily a digital system for the PD and EMS. Planned for operation by late spring or early summer '07
