Good afternoon had a question? Is Gastonia area ok/good? I know someone is visiting next week for a few days. I did look up and saw some areas don't have power.
SWCALL 52255 very busy as well@bravo14 Reports of much damage in western NC including people in house floating in rapid water, many counties using the VIPER Statewide Events channels, especially BRAVO 2 (51960) and FOXTROT 3 (51977) which I am monitoring from Raleigh.
Also, crews have asked for a unit to call them on 8TAC92 but that is a National Interoperability frequency, being used locally.
Poweroutage.us is live data on the whole US. You can drill down by state, county, and/or power company
I was on FB and saw a post on a FB Page I belong to and someone posted a site for NC. DriveNC.gov for road closures and some roads are still closed.
What anyone hears is highly dependent on the site you are listening to. Not all traffic is going to pass to all sights. I'm sure NIFOG channels are busy in the affected areas but Im too far from the activity to hear anything. What channels are they using for the Asheville hurricane disaster on Viper? I think I’m hearing some on statewide channel. I’m not sure please let me know.
I heard Charlotte’s fire communications is down thereMany roads closed or destroyed, will take a while to get them passable. NC Natioal Guard helo doing rescue missions on VIPER SW Events Echo 2 this morning. SW events (including but not limited to BRAVO, ECHO, FOXTROT & SIERRA 1-4) channels and NIFOG are the most active
