Power went out during Firmware update!

Power went out during firmware update on BCD396XT and now the scanner will not turn on. Tried holding down the buttons when powering on and it did not do anything. Please help. Thanks

No, the scanner does not do anything.

That is unusual. There is no way to completely brick the scanner during a firmware update...the worst that can happen is that the firmware can be partially written, which would result in your having to redo the update from Step 1 (including following the steps to press certain keys while powering it on). Have you tried to do so?

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately the link you provided went to an error page. I have tried 2,9 and power button and I have tried 2,9,hold and power button. Tried for different amounts of time but still nothing.

Unfortunately there's a bug in the forum software that drops that last right paren when it's quoted in a link. Replacing the missing parenthesis corrects the error

Press L/O and 6 and turn the radio on and then start your update again!
