I occasionally hear the SHP dispatcher but can’t hear replies from the mobile units on my BCD 325P2. There are an overwhelming number of frequencies for the Provincial Public Safety Telecommunications Network for Saskatchewan listed in the database here. I’ve tried several of them for about a week at a time. If I hear nothing I delete them and try something else.

Are there any frequencies in particular I should program in to hear more traffic in the Regina area for this particular network?

Hi, all

On June 4th commencing at 2:50 pm Dynamic Regroups were used to connect the PPSTN to the AFRRCS.

In the screenshots you will see the talk-group ID 76 RCMP Lloydminster and TG 215 are Regrouped to TG 42066 and this is dropped only 12 minutes later at 3:02 pm.

Then at 3:10 pm the talk-group ID 48 RCMP TAC-4 and TG 214 are Regrouped to TG 42067 and this is dropped at 4:33 pm.

It appears that Talk-group ID 214 is utilized for Tactical Operations and the Talk-group ID 215 is utilized for regular cross border communications between the two systems. See the links for event details.

Hi, all

This post will be sort of a continuation or addition to my previous post # 308 about STAR 9's proximity to PPSTN site 71, and when I started to see logins appearing on the site from the helicopter.

This time the helicopter is approaching from the north east. on it's return trip to Regina.

In the screenshot from Flightradar24 the two blue dots are the locations of the two PPSTN radio sites along with the location of STAR 9 at 1:21 pm. The first login on site 72 was seen at 1:19 pm followed ten minutes later, by the first login on site 71 at 1:29 pm.

It appears that STAR 9 was about 20 miles north of site 72 when it logged in and about 10 miles north of site 71 when it logged in.

Cheers.

Hi, all

Found more evidence with regard to how RCMP talk-group ID 215 is being used to link F and K divisions.
See the screenshot and the links.

Hi, all

There was a big event this past weekend in Craven Sk.

Today the two RCMP units returning to the Yorkton region were seen on Talk-group ID 43, TAC 10.
I did not see any action, but maybe some of you did see channel grants on TAC 10?
Wil did you see and get any RIDs in use at Craven this past weekend?
I did see a channel grant on TAC 10 from the RID 2212309. A PM visit RID in use at Craven?
I would like to know if there were any other PM visit RIDs seen in use on TAC 10 this past weekend.

Cheers.

Hi, all

In my post #333 above the RID 2212309 appears to have been in use at Craven Country Thunder.
In my database this RID shows it as: Saskatoon Radio Tech external agency loaner.
The RID's 2212300 to 2212329 all appear in this same list. This indicates that a police agency from of Saskatoon was utilizing at least one or more of these loaner radios to communicate with the RCMP during the Craven event.
No Dynamic Regroups where seen in use.
When I saw this image, my question was answered.
