Prince William County K9-1?

This evening I was monitoring the search for a missing elderly man in our community with alzheimer's. Sad situation, especially with the nasty weather that blew through the area. Helicopter Fairfax 1 was brought in to assist twice, but unfortunately was unsuccessful in locating him, the weather and all the Halloween foot traffic certainly didn’t help.

FFX1 was asked by PWCPD at one point to switch traffic from West-1 to K9-1, anyone know what talk group that is? I’m assuming one of the TAC’s or possibly an encrypted channel?

There may be a regional talkgroup. I know that agencies within Fairfax County share a talkgroup so that they can communicate with Fairfax 1 or conduct regional k-9 training on.

I spoke with a k9 officer I know. There is no regional group. Prince William k9 talkgroup is not part of the Fairfax template. Fairfax 1 has different setup. They have access to everything.
