Hi. I have a Pro-106 and also have ARC500Pro, Win500 and PSREDIT500.

No matter which software paclage I use, I cannot seem to get the software to control the LED lights on the scanner.

I read the manual and follwed the instructions to physically set the LED lights to flag or glow steady etc. and got the LED to work that way.

But why can't I get it to work using the software ? Each package has the function to alter the LED settings, but once I change it in the software and "send" it to the scanner, there is no change in the way the LED acts.

Any ideas or suggestions ?

Thanks for any assistance.

This is not the only object you have lacking this setting. Going back several screens to Trunking Objects, I see that none shown are in a ScanList (right Column, all those dashes).

GIANT DIFFERENCE in the Talk Group Properties Screen (yours and mine). No Scanlist Selected in the ScanList Membership Window! Any Object must be in a Scanlist, and that Scanlist Enabled (General Configurations), before the radio will operate on that object.

I just went in and selected the scanlists for membership in the Talkgroup edit.

I sent it to the scanner..... Lo 7 Behold.... the LED is now flashing when it hits my selected channel.

I am so used to my trusty old Pro-96 and I still can't wrap my head around this Object Oriented Scanner.

I know the 106 is light years ahead of the 96, but unfortunately... I'm not.

The User manual is cryptic and does not cover the LED operations very much, and even Mark's Easy to Read site doesn't cover this in detail.

Thanks to all for the help and suggestions.

Tim

It seems like I have much more investigation to do concerning the LED operations.

There are several screens where you can add/delete/activate talk groups and channels and what-not.

I'll figure it out sooner or later.
