I'm asking, not answering. I lack the knowledge or experience to reveal any hidden capabilities of this model. Various scanner manufacturers including GRE produced models for overseas use, or removed capabilities of the SHACK model, that the original GRE model possessed in its production. Such instances occurred with the GRE PSR-800 and the watered down SHACK PRO-18.

I also thought the 107 might have possibilities getting converted into a 1080 but since no one confirmed it or bragged about it in the huge thread, i leaned towards a "water down" pro-18 instead.

Hello,

The Pro-107 is an earlier hardware platform that has less CPU Flash Memory than the PSR-800. The PSR-800, PSR-700, Pro-18, etc use a similar hardware platform with bits added or removed. For example, the PSR-700 has the same CPU Flash Memory, but lacks the DSP needed for digital modes.

For less then $300 you can turn it into a grecom psr-800 or a Radio Shack Pro-668...then into a ws1080 or you can buy mine pro-668 upgraded to ws1080 package, So I can put the money towards a TRX series.

Pm for price.
