sorry, I just now got around to downloading Win93. In agreement with Lou and scnnr, p93 file looks fine.

Wow it's been awhile since i've used Win93! hehe

Scnnr and Lou,
I'm sure you probably already know this but the 2053 automatically assumes that if there is a CC, that you're in trunking mode. Unless of course the mode (AM, FM, MOT, ED) is set wrong. If it is set on FM, it will scan it conventional style. MO or ED...it will trunk if it finds a CC.

As do all CC mode scanners. Even non-CC mode scanners will not scan conventionally if you have it programmed correctly, except for the Pro90/BC235 which will allow you to conventionally scan frequencies programmed for trunking. Maybe the Pro91 will do that also, but I never owned one so I can't say for sure.

I guess i'm trying to say that all you have to do is set the channel mode to mo or ed to trunk. Easiest trunker i have ever purchased...of course not the best.

You know I am starting to wonder if what you really were trying to do is to just eliminate banks that you did not want to monitor, is that correct? If so, then what Lou suggested is the way to go. Say you don't want to monitor bank 5, 6. 7. While scanning just hit those keys and it will not scan those banks.

Another thing you could do is if you want to listen to all the banks but not every Joe courier company on that system is to toggle between open and closed mode for that particular bank.

While the scanner is paused on a talk group in that bank hit th FUNC > 5 buttons to toggle between open and closed mode.

when i put a check mark in the closed box in the Win95 program and re-downloaded it to my 2053 it solved everything ! :wink: it scans like it should and does not stop on the control channel any more. thank for all the help
