Yes -- I have one and use it on a daily basis. I used to have a Uniden BC350C -- I liked it, but the real pain was not having banks per se. Moved from it to the 2054 which has 300 channels in 10 banks for the same price.
There are no alpha tags, no CTCSS/DCS, and no trunking. This is a basic scanner, though. But the audio is GREAT. Commercial radio great at that. With almost NO squelch tail! I have no problem whatsoever hearing it, and if you want some extra punch, just plug in a non-amp'd external speaker. It will blow you out of the car. Construction of the unit is top notch, with a metal case and plastic front. The LCD and keypad are both backlit, with three different levels: high, low, and off.
Reception is great too, and I'm surprised at how well it picks up the VHF air band. Every now and again I'll get some paging bleedover/intermod on the VHF 150 band, but other radios do much worse. Especially when you've got towers nearby. I've been using the stock whip, an Antenex 150/450 BNC handheld antenna, and a Diamond RH77 rubber whip.
Also, there is per channel selectable delay, attenuator, lockout, 1 priority channel, one-button search (ham, marine, VHF air, public safety, weather), and direct tuning. Another nice feature is that some of the VHF high frequencies are set up for the new steps (6.25kHz). Unfortunately Radio Shack didn't include a way to change from FM to NFM. That's all right; the audio is loud enough anyways.
Included with the radio was a mobile mounting bracket, DIN bracket, AC adapter, telescoping whip antenna, and DC power cord (bare leads).
Overall I think it's the best $99 I've ever spent on a scanner.
