pro-2066 scanner

i have a pro-2066 scanner that got a hit last night. it wiped out my power supply and my scanner, along with my ham radio. anyone have an idea where to start looking on this scanner? does it have a diode i could check or something else? its a great scanner and i want to get it fixed asap.

If you mean the scanner was hit by a power surge or lightning, the repair is going to take a lot more than a diode replacement. Chances are the repair will be so expensive it won't be worth salvaging the radio.

The problem is that so many *different* componets could be toasted it is hard to say where one should start. Besides that, asking where to start, in of itself, kinda sorta indicates that you are already over your head.

well, if thats the only insight you have, you wasted your time and space. i'm not in over my head, just dont have a schematic for it. you do know what a schematic is dont you?
