Tried programming one of these RS scanners for my cousin today using ARC 433 software. Conventional stuff was fine but trunk programming was a bit confusing for me not being familiar with this scanner/software. The trunk system is the MA State Police system, using just site/zone 4. These are all rebanded frequencies and should still work based on tests of other older scanners said to not be capable of following rebanded trunk systems. My question is this. In the software there is an option for control channel on or a selection of different "plans", such as plan 1,2,3,etc.
I chose Plan 2 and I "think" it's working properly but not 100% convinced. The other thing I did was to make sure ALL the frequencies were programmed based on this system changing control channels a few times lately since rebranding. If someone familiar with this scanner/software combo can chime in with help its greatly appreciated.
