Pro 668 updates

Does this firmware update allow the Pro 668 to directly input a frequency from the buttons on the panel? If there any tricks to doing this on the Pro 668 as there are times I want to be able to just listen to a Ham frequency.

No but you can use the software to enter that frequency into a separate playlist and just listen to that playlist when you wanted to.

Have to do two step process from DB to software and from software to radio/SD Card

As Ghstwolf said its a two part process.

Step 1 you should make sure the library on the SD card is up to date. You do that using the I-Scan software.

Have you updated the library on the SD card.?

Step 2 you program the scanner with your desired system. You can do that from the scanner directly or by way of the I-Scan software.

Yes,Simply pick an empty scanlist/playlist and use the iscan software.Put some blank frequencies/objects in there,up to 200.I keep 25 in scanlist 200,works real well.

Yes in the conventional frequencies tab click new,and keep clicking new until you have your desired amount.Then edit the play list you want them in or leave them in default playlist.You can also pre edit display and led setting.Then write to scanner/sd card,then you can just browse to them and enter frequency,alpha-tag etc.

Version 2.05 - (Released July 23, 2015)
Changed the "Standard" import reference to "Preferred" to be consistent with the scanner manual.

Corrected an issue where importing a rebanded Motorola trunked system using the City, County, or Zipcode method would not set the site trunking mode to Custom.

Corrected an issue where not all alert options were being displayed for an object.

Was 2.04 now 2.05

Yep now it has the added alert tones in it that were only available via manual programming before.

I had to turn off my antivirus program to get the PC application update to upload to my 668. It kept recognizing the update as a virus??? Go figure!
