The 536 sure doesn't have even volume between phase 1 and 2. Phase 2 is louder.

Can somebody point me to where I can get my Windows 8.1 computer to talk to the PRO-668? I keep getting a "not responding" - even after trying to bypass the certificate signing and all that jazz.
Does it prefer one COM port over another?
Possibly dumb question: is there an easy way to zero out the memories in the Pro 668?
Press menu, scroll down to settings, scroll to factory default, and select.
Thanks for W8 fix!
I had the same battery problem with my 668. The fix for me was to default the scanner not the software just the scanner reflash the updated firmware then restore my saved programming Now on the same batteries as before I am getting 8 to 12 hours depending on traffic and volume settings. I have no idea as I updated my 668 right out of the box but reflashing the firmware fixed my problem.Besides the Windows 8 communications issue, I notice the 'robotic' audio sound is very prevalent on the 668- about every 2nd or 3rd call on the 668 compared to about every 15th call on the Uniden 396, both using the 800MHz Yagi. I was surprised as the 668 is much newer technology. I expect robotic on a PRO-96 but not on a 668. Also, I get a whole day on 3 batteries in the 396, but only 4 hours in the 668; both are Eneloop 2500mah batteries. Still looking for the Windows 8 fix. Did get it to talk on a borrowed Windows 7 computer.

Did that, but it seems to have kept the systems I had added using the Zip Code programming from the keypad.![]()
