I did a search but did not find anything on.....my pro 2067(which is the mobile cousin of the 92 i think?) How do I stop the beeps after an EDACS transmission? In other words somehow enabling if there is a way...the end tone after the transmission is done so it does not hang on that freq and goes back to the CC? thanks

1. insure each trunking frequency is placed in the correct LCN order
2. insure each trunking frequency is set to ED mode
3. insure the bank is set to ED mode

Hello Friends:

FMON thank you for the short cut and I know there is a way to
put your name in the scanner insted of "Welcome to..." does
any one knows?

I'm not sure if this will work with a 92, being that I dont have one to test it on, but it works on some of my other scanners.

This will change line 4 on a Pro-96/2096, line 4 is used to describe a V-folder. spiritwolfpr needs to use Win92 for changing the welcome screen.

I believe I have the setup correct, however on other scanners there is an option to turn on or off the "end tone" on an EDACS....that is what I am looking for if the 2067 or the Win92 software has that option?

GRE scanners don't require end code settings. Your beep condition is resolved by my step 3, however, any bank setting other then ED will cause the CC noise during scan as well as the 4 to 5 beeps and no TG info will be display. Also, any LCN freq not set to ED (upper right corner of display) will cause the beeps when that freq is used. This situation would be non-trunked for that freq.

What type of EDACS are you setting up?

Ok I will check my settings again...especially your step 3.
I am monitoring Ingham County(MI) new 9 channel EDACS UHF simulcast
I don't hear the beeps on my Uniden 296D, thought there might be a setting on my Pro 2067 for the end code tone settings but apparently not. Also, side by side the 2067 will just sit there and miss some traffic the 296D is picking up.

Sounds like you have the programming wrong somewhere, double check the LCN order and each channels mode (Like someone else said earlier). If none of this works, sounds like you got a defective unit.

I checked them all again and everything is setup properly. I am using the Win92 software and those beeps(usually 5 of them) are there after most transmissions. This is occurring on my 2067 also, but not as often as it does on my 92. Would it make a difference if I am running in open or closed mode by chance?

Is your Win92 EDACS system like this?
1. EDACS in the Type pull down window.
2. Each frequency set to EDACS.
3. LCN as set by the system manager.
4. NEVER have an EDACS frequency in channel 00.

Yes, except for in my bank for channel 00, I did not have it locked out...maybe that is the difference? It it no longer beeping 5 times at the end of each transmission. I tried closed mode too and that helped also before I locked out channel 00. I will keep you posted however, thanks for the help.

"I did not have it locked out"

This should not be the problem ( I just unlocked my 00 to verify). However, if it works...

Ok, well I did not get rid of all the beeps after a transmission but I can live with a few of them. Now, side by side my Uniden 296D, I miss many transmissions on the 2067. Any idea why? Same antenna...i have tried the rubber duckie on both and also splitting the outside antenna coming in.

Ok well those beeps are back again and the only thing I have changed/amended are the tg ID's in my win92 software. I did not change the freqs, LCN, trunk settings for the freqs or banks. any ideas?

Is it possible they have started using that 10th frequency?
