pro 95 programing

i have the pro 95 for a few years. i need to reprogram it. but i can not find my owners manual. i am in indiana. they have new metro police. so i need to change my trunk codes. i have the win 95 software and cable. but the trunk codes would not take.

Does your pc recognize your scanner and vise versa ? What systems are you trying to program?

trying to program the pro 95. yes it does recognize the scanner. it will put in the frequencies. but not the trunking codes.

So you program the frequencies, load them and you don't hear anything ?
Also when you change the talkgroups on the right of the screen in win95 it
will not load them to the scanner? Maybe try deleting win 95 and re-downloading it.

Okay, I was undecided where this should go, Software Support or RS Scanners and finally decided the problem was more software oriented than radio. In any case, it didn't belong in the General Scanning forum.

Now to the problem at hand, make sure that at the top of the software page for the bank you are programming that the pull-down says MOT. What you are describing (and I am making some wild guesses here) is that you need to program the Metro PD numbers from Indianapolis/Marion County Public Safety, what you are seeing is that the software will not accept the large numbers, this is probably as a result of that pull-down either saying CONV or EDACS, both of which sets those TG fields to 4 digits max.

If this is the problem then you are good to go until the area goes P25 sometime next year.

i am hearing radio traffic. it will not trunk and follow just the areas i want. it scans as a regular non trunking scanner does.
