why does the scanner search act crazy too me i put it low 225.0000 high 400.0000 when i put the 400.0000 is it tells me it is invalid frequency what in the **** am i doing wrong ??????

400.00 is an invalid frequency for that radio.

It won't receive anything between 225.00 - 406.00.

Check your owners manual, page 110.

i did that already it's crazy you can add any frequency in that range and it will work that so i just don't seem too understand why
