Pro-97 Help

It seems the database crashed on my Pro-97 all channels are locked out.I took it to Radioshack they fixed that issue but it wiped out the whole database.Soo I have to add all of these all over again which is fine.However when hitting the WX button the Weather does not work I know that it has the severe weather programmed in I got that from here.However there was a Freq that constantly told the current Weather etc and that has been removed after the database loss.Anyone know these Frequencies and how to get them back into the WX button?

Get win 97 from starrsoft & a programming cable & program something into it

the weather stations cannot be wiped out hit the RED T on the far right at the top

well, it sounds like the wx stations could of been wiped out, his scanner was on the fritz. any electronic thing can do wierd stuff. anyways, the wx freqs are below. you can also find out which wx frequency is in use in your area via this [http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/nwrbro.htm] link

As previously said you really need the Win97 program and the programming cable.

It seems to me that if the this happened at Radio Shack, you should be able to go back and have them re-program the scanner for you again as they probably did when you bought it.

Just my 2 cents I guess.

Why does he really need that when the radio can be programmed by hand??? Sure it makes it easier but he does not "really need" it.

I agree he doesn't really need it to make the scanner work, but you know what I meant.

I have all the software and the cables issue I was having was actually finding the right Freq for the local Weather that constantly talks and talks and talks lol.The ones in there now are from Severe Weather Only.And the codes above are total silence unless im adding them wrong they would be FM correct? Also tried them on all FM,AM etc still absolute Silence.So im either doing somethng wrong or those arent the codes that talk all day long lol
