When scanning it will show which bank by blinking number 0-9 on the top whether the bank is open or closed + for open - for closed then direction of scan the bottom line will be the Alpha Tag of the bank. When stopped during a scan it will show bank, sub bank frequency, then status such as att, pri, dly, VC for trunk Voice Chnnel
The bottom line will show TGID number or Alpha tag.

Okay. I have some Channels simply named "Fire" or "Police", in their respected Banks for the respected Cities... as long as the Bank Tag is shown, it should be ok. I will probably end up re-doing the whole thing in a different configuration anyways.

That's common you get it working then over time get everything arranged the way that works best for you. I've changed my Pro-97 too many times, finally it's in a way that makes sense. The biggest problem I have with it is it's inability to save new TGIDs found in what sub bank you want as the radio finds them. My Unidens allow for that.

No by sub bank I mean the place that stores the TGIDs there are 5 in each bank and each holds 30 IDs

Sorry about the ridiculous shipping charges on the knobs. Guess I won't be recommending that company again, geez. $7.50 to put two in an envelope and slap a stamp on it, that's a bit overboard.

Good luck...

Oh - I guess I have no idea what those are!

What is the CT/DC column in Win97? Some of my channels have 100 and 123 entered in there. What does that do?

I'm also noticing my scanner is cutting out every few seconds on some transmissions.. is that normal?

When I looked at your p97 file I noted that you had a priority channel set this will cause the scanner to check that frequency every few seconds.

Mmm.... that's what does it? Makes sense. Not sure if I want to keep it like that. Thanks

The speed that the Pro-97 scans at it's really not needed, especially if your missing parts of transmissions because of it.

I'm just going to program all of them in, then go drive around some fast food places and give it a shot :p

Question.. if someone starts talking on my Priority channel WHILE I'm listening to another channel, will it interrupt it so I can hear my Priority?

Yes I've noticed the cutting out, and I think it might be worth it to ensure I hear everything happening on my Priority channel.

What do the numbers in this column mean?
