Hello, I'm newbie here, I just bout Pro 97 from Radio Shack and I'm totally confused as how to setup to scan our phone cordless 900Mhz Panasonic and Uniden.

If anyone has any quick basic setup, I'd really appreciate that. The prepogram frequencies are from 40 to 469 max, how could I increase to 900? And what mode to scan 900Mhz phone? Is it DCS mode or CT mode?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

set up a search ...for the above tables..

Ya might find phones a bore after a short while!

Like cell phones...it wears its welcome out fast..

Just set up a SEARCH for the above, and hold on a frq...see yer manual if ya got one on how to set search ranges up..I cant recall off hand.

I only see search on Pro 97, I didn't see any frequency button even when I looked at the manual. Is there a step-by-step? Such as press Search - then number - then chanel?

Sorry for keep bothering you guys, I've never used this b4.

Page 37 of your Manual deals with SEARCH...here you can say , set a RANGE for the Pro 97 to start the search & stop.. IE : 900.000 start - 960.00 End

Pgae 37 deals with this..

If your new, the ' SEARCH ' feature every scanner has is I'd say , the most powerfull , yet seldom used fuction .

Try the Signal Stalker as well...if your looking for phones close by , it should lock on quick with a good signal.

** check yer laws , it maybe unlawfull to Monitor this stuff **

You can put a range of frequencies in Search Bank 6 ( believe this is on pg 43 of your owners manual) You can enter a low range like 900.000 and a high range of something higher in the 900.00 range. From there the scanner will stop on any frequency it receives in that range.

Here is what I found so far, correct me if I'm wrong:

Repeatly press search until SR6, because this is "user changeable", am I right? Can't use any other SR.

The PGM - SRCH, enter 900.00 on flash cursorfor lower, and 960.00 for upper, then ENT, then SRCH again to start searching. Then I'm stuck, am I doing anything wrong? It's automatically searching? Whenever I press SRCH, it returned to SR1 mode again.

I'm not worry about law, I'm totally responsible for it.

your scanner has signal stalker, push the talk button on your phone so that you can hear a dial tone, and then hold down the scan button on your pro 97 till it displays sig . stalker it will find it for you in less then a min................ it will pick up anything with in a 1000 feet. And what your looking for should come up in group 9 on the display, make sure that the display is showing
