pro197 help

I have a PRO 197 and have programmed in a local digital radio system, a VHF trunked system. I can recieve the system with the telescoping antenna provided, but not with an outside antenna. I used the attenuate setting thinking it may be from front end overload as I live next to a cell tower and near a paging system, but without success. Any ideas? Thanks.

My PRO-197 is a great cell site detector, but I haven't noticed that problem on VHF. FM and TV stations have been the biggest problem. Since the case shielding is pretty good, you might try an FM band filter (88-108). The Radio Shack filter has worked well for me.
