I'm here a lot
Play with the P25 Hold Time for the sites on those systems. I have one set of talkgroups in a system that are Phase II and the others are Phase 1.

I changed the P25 Hold Time per site from 0 Seconds to 5 Seconds on my local simulcast and it seems to work.

It's a little hard to make out the screen, but from what I can tell it seems like you do have a similar problem. It looks like you're in Washington? I looked up your county (wow that's a lot to monitor!) and from the video it looks like all the frequencies being displayed are correct. But you can't see the ones where it skips through the phase 2 transmissions (about a minute into the video).
It seems that unlike mine which was fine if you only monitored the phase 2 system or held on one of its talkgroups, yours is slow even while parked on a talkgroup. Yours like mine makes that spitting noise at the beginning of phase 2 transmissions.
So a couple of things. Are you near enough any cell towers to experience interference? That affects response times and performance across the board on 700/800 mhz. Also in the settings menu, if C-Ch Output is set to ON or EXTEND I have noticed a slower response time on all systems.
Try the firmware upgrade, although I did it and still had a problem. I am receiving a new unit today hopefully and will let you know when it arrives.

Who is sending you a new unit? I bought mine from the bearcatwarehouse. It was more than 30 days ago though.

Ham Radio Outlet. I just got the first unit last week. I live in a county that has Phase 2 and noticed the problem right away.

Confirmed the P2 issue also. On Phase 2 calls it will intermittently go to a bogus frequency.Phase 1 "seems" to be fine.

Need to add this is on a BCD325P2.

That's odd, as Phase II systems use the exact same control channel format as Phase I systems. The only additional info is a timeslot number.

Yes sir!

And not to get too far OT since this is a 996P2 thread, but when it does work (which is most of the time) it really sounds good.

Just so Im clear KevinC, you're having this problem on a 325?

Yes sir, exactly the same as you. If I scan just one system it's good, if I can an additional system it's starts going to bogus frequencies.

I have had some problems with Phase 2 channels staying programmed. Uniden said they were having a problem with the firmware and have since updated it. I finally had to send in back in to Uniden which took about 4 weeks to get back. So far it seems to be working fine but I programmed it using ARC-XT, which is recommended for it.

What firmware are they having a problem with I thought that version 1.05.02 corrected the problem and if not what is the new updated version.

Still a problem in Dec 2016??

This thread is a great source of info. Does the BCD996P2 still have these issues for Camden County PII as of December of 2016?

Thanks

Michael
