Has anyone else had this show up on your DMR radio when scanning DMR MARC? If so, do you know why and is their a problem with the programming of my radio?
My first thought, without knowing much about CS radios, is that you are listening to someone with a user ID of zero, and the channel bank is also labeled zero.
Are you hearing anything? Is there anything else programmed into the radio? Like I said, I'm only familiar with the XPR's, so I really can't help you out too much.
I'm sure their ID isn't 0 and I didn't label a channel bank "zone" or a talk group 0. So that can't be it, but thank you for your help! This is on DMR MARC so I have everything labeled by the repeater's city and talk group name.

I've seen that as well. It isn't just on my CS700 but on my MD380 as well. In my discussion with once person I found they were communicating via one of those DMR dongles. (D4Mini? Can't remember the name) I don't know if that happens with everyone who uses them. Perhaps it was just a coincidence. Perhaps it is just as simple as forgetting to program your ID into the radio.
I don't believe those dongles are allowed to be used on DMR-Marc. I know the local repeater owner does not allow them to be used on his system. No Brandmeister in this neck of the woods.
Most of the DMR repeaters in my neck of the woods have switched to Brandmeister. There are a few talkgroups that are mapped to allow connectivity to other systems. Maybe that interconnection doesn't deal with the user code very well. I don't know for sure. I'm not well versed in the "behind the scenes" stuff with DMR.
what is the firmware you are using? You should try to update to the most recent cps and firmware for the model. I have had issues with crazy characters showing up on my cs 750 and reflashing a different firmware fixed it.
