HP-2: Problems updating database on HP-2

Maybe some can help me inhave windows 11 I can't seem to find the update for the hp2 ob my laptop when I plug it in the laptop the USB drive pops up like I said I can't find update can someone help me out plz an thanx

This is what my HP-2 shows for the latest firmware...
I also have the Extreme Update enabled too...

You are using the correct version of Sentinel, Version 2.03 (revision 2), for the HP=1 & =2, correct?

When you are trying to get the latest database update for Sentinel, are you getting any kind of error or warning message?

If you are seeing a response, along the lines of 'the request could not be completed", or it "timed out", then something on your PC may be causing the problem. In many cases, this is because your ISP blocks access to Uniden's server.

Who is your internet provider?

HP-2: - home patrol 2 firmware update

trying to update firmware.under advanced option it says firmware is 1.05.when i install .2.03 upgrade it days im running the current version,i have one hp2 running the newer firmware but this will not,anybody can maybe help me?

Are you unable to download the database update for Sentinel, or is the error that your HP=2 is not giving you the option for the Mass Storage mode when you connect the radio to your PC?

Ok, the scanner is in mass storage, as "Drive D", but Sentinel does not recognize it? Confirm you are using the correct Sentinel version. It should show in the task bar as a red shield.

When you select '"write to scanner" to send database & Favorites list updates to the scanner, you do not get the pop-up showing the scanner & the drive it maps to?

Did you follow the instructions for updating the database on page 6 of your owner's manual as advised previously? Do you have your owner's manual?

Once you install Sentinel, then update the database file. (The version of the database, when the software is first installed) will be well out of date.

If, when you try to install the software, you get an error message about needing .Net 2 ("Dot Net 2), see how to correct that on this Wiki page:

This is really a simple process.
Click on the link for the Uniden Sentinel page.
Your PC will ask if you want to download the file, where to save it, and give you the option of giving the file a different name.

Once downloaded, the file will be in the download folder for your internet browser.

Find the file, and then double click on it, (It will be a zipped (compressed) file.)
Click the resulting file, which will be a folder with the actual files, to see the contents.

Double click on the setup.msi file to start installation. If you get a message about needing the "Dot Net" fix, see the comments on the Wiki I noted in post 24. Correct the dot net issue, then run the setup file again.

Once Sentinel is installed, then first run the database update.

The instructions to fix that are on the Wiki page I linked earlier. (There is a folder in the Sentinel Download file for "Dotnetfix". But that applied to earlier versions of Windows, such as Windows XP. For more current Windows versions, the Wiki page instructions have the correct procedure.
