I’m using ARC-XT PRO to program my 996P2. When I tried to “Save As” the dialogue screen would ask what system I want to save. I programmed many systems and groups for my scanner. I can’t figure how to do this. Can I use the Profile to save the frequencies, and upload them to the scanner?

Above is how I did the frequencies. If I did something wrong please tell me and I’ll straighten them out. All the frequencies are in Bolivar County, and other counties in Mississippi. The folders are all the talk groups.
This is my first time to do this. Thank you.

I installed the sites, etc, into my 996P2.
So far, ok.
I set the range (miles) from 5 to 20.
When the scanner started scanning, it went from one county to another with the beep and “L/O” showing. Is this normal? And as I travel through other counties, will those L/O open up when I get there? Right now it is scanning my home county and I am hearing frequencies that wasn’t programmed before.
Can I manually unlock the L/O sites so I can listen to the surrounding counties, along with my home county?

Yes. Normal behavior. Stuff out of range is put in temporary lock out status. When you get in range scanner changes it to unlocked status.

If you want it back disconnect gps and cycle scanner off then on. Can’t see much reason to listen to things far away.

Are you using ProScan? if yes, Do you have the Resume Scan/Search turned on and LO set? If so then turn it off.
No, but I thought about. I downloaded it. I end up using FreeScan. I believe the Resume Scan/Search is on and L/O set.

Glad to hear that. When I go outside my county I want to listen to other frequencies.

I did good! I was on my way to town today and I was scanning. I had frequencies I never heard before. When I was leaving certain areas the GPS L/O kicks on and other channels comes on, according to the GPS range settings.

Scanning with GPS adds a little extra complexity, but it is so worth the effort of learning how to use it when you start scanning while mobile.
