Did you check your comm port settings and baud rate, or front rear settings?
If you use the rear port, you will need a null-modem adapter.
Are you using a USB adapter?

You have to put the frequencies into the program manually. The Uniden UASD software does not download from Radioreference. If you want that feature, you will need to wait for the Butel ARC15 software.

Can this be done on the computer? we tried and were not sucessful in the download. We input the information in to the BCT15 UASD software in the system editer part.

Are you able to download from the BCT15 to the UASD software? If you can do that, then you should be able to upload to the BCT15 from the UASD.

Select scanner view from the main program, then select read from scanner in the BCT15_viewer. If your scanner is connected correctly, you will see the scanner contents on the display as it downloads.

You are aware that you can't download systems from the UASD to the scanner unless they are part of a profile, correct? Nor can you, unlike older Uniden scanners, download a single channel or a range of channels. To change or add any frequencies, you have to download the entire system.

First you need to create a system file with the system editor, then you can add that to a configuration profile and upload it to the radio.

We have created the system file in the system editor. How do we add that to a configuration profile?

Profile is actually the Butel term, Uniden uses Configuration. Go to the Configuration Editor, create a new Configuration or open an exisiting one. You'll see a tab marked Systems. Select that and you can add systems to the configuration. Once you've done that, you can use the Write to Scanner function to send the data to the scanner.

If you don't already have a configuration profile, then select new, give it a name, click on the systems tab, select the system, then click add from database button. Now you can exit the configuration editor, save or save as, and now upload to the radio using write to scanner.

Sounds like you have an error in your system file. Did you try to store too many frequencies or a frequency out of range?

Try just an existing system file in your configuration editor, send it and see if you still have an error message.
