BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Programing the BCD996P2 (NXDN)

First of all, just want to thank everyone for helping me out. Ok, I have the NXDN and DMR keys upload to my BCD996P2. So now I need to program it. Should I download a program and if so, will it do NXDN? What program should I use? Thanks

This would be a great question for the Uniden thread, as it really isn't General Scanning as you are asking about a particular scanner. You would probably get better responses there.

There are only 2 programs that support NXDN programming on the P2 scanners - ARC-XT and ProScan.. FreeScan doesn't support NXDN as the software has been abandoned by the developer. Both have free trial periods (30 days if I remember).

Now it's your turn....show us what it is you're trying to program. Go up to the left where it says 'RadioReference' and use the pulldown to select 'Database'. Use the pulldowns and map to get to your state and find the URL of the system in question

From there people can more readily help you....Mike

So, when programming the scanner. The System would be the COUNTY, Group would be the city and police, EMS, Channel would be all info Frequence, NXDN, P25. Want to take my time and set it up right.

Uniden BCD996P2 scanner. I just download PROSCAN got the radio hooked up to it and running on my laptop. But not sure where to start off at with the program. There are not many videos out there for ProScan but a lot with FREESCAN. But I need NXDN that's what are police department use.

The NXDN frequencies are programmed in groups in a conventional system. Enter the Channel Name and Frequency. Set Audio Type to Digital Only. Select the RAN. Set Mod to NFM.​

Nice, Thank you for the information. I purchase the prime from RadioRerence a while back but did not know anything about scanners. Tried to build one from Raspberry Pi5 watching videos but that did not work out. My kids end up buying the scanner for Christmas. I try to program it tomorrow. Thanks again

One thing I forgot to ask: Does your scanner have the NXDN upgrade?

Yes, I just purchase the NXDN and DMR and uploaded everything in the scanner. So, when input everything in ProScan just click on my scanner picture that is connected to ProScan and do it manually right. Might sound like dumb question but I was looking for drop down in the program to enter my info. Thanks

Click on the Database tab and New. Name the file and save it. You can then click on Add and System. Click on Add and Group. Click on Add and Channel (Frequency).

Attached a picture from ProScan this is what I downloaded to the scanner. It shows it scanning everything I put in but haven't heard anything yet. Volume is turned up Seq is set to 02. Not sure if I missing something

Is I did upload too the scanner. Trying to send a picture but the file is too big.
